Description
| The Database: HKU Libraries has created this online database to be a finding aid to the Hong Kong Listed Company Papers Collection, described below. Index access points, not normally used in a bibliographic database, are provided here; such as, company name, issuer name, year, material type (warrants, debt, etc.), and language. With this new finding aid, researchers no longer need look at each document, but can quickly narrow their search to those documents most relevant. |
| About the collection:
The Hong Kong Listed Company Papers Collection is made up of more than 28,250 documents arising from the issue of new shares, derivative warrants and debt securities, mergers and takeovers, repurchase of shares, company reorganization, etc., released by Hong Kong listed companies and financial institutions to the general public. It reflects not only the activities of listed companies but also the overall economic conditions of Hong Kong since the 1940s. These documents are available in either print or electronic formats since the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong began to provide company documents in CDs in 1997. Intended to facilitate the retrieval of documents in the collection, this index will be updated regularly to keep users abreast of new additions. |
| Access: Print copies and CDs containing images of these documents are housed in the Special Collections of the University of Hong Kong Libraries. Users who wish to consult the Collection may enquire in person at Special Collections, the University of Hong Kong Libraries, by telephone at +852 2859 2207, by fax at +852 2857 2048, or by email at specol@lib.hku.hk. |
